Sustainability at Atomis
At Atomis, we believe that true progress begins with responsibility: responsibility for our environment, our use of materials, and our social impact. That is why sustainability is central to every phase of our product development, production, and delivery. This ambition is clearly reflected in our Dutch production, our circular design philosophy, and our carefully organized logistics process.
The majority of our fixtures are designed, produced, and assembled entirely in the Netherlands. This local approach offers significant advantages in terms of both sustainability and quality. Short supply chains ensure considerably fewer transport movements, directly resulting in lower CO₂ emissions and a smaller ecological footprint. Furthermore, producing close to home allows us to maintain continuous oversight of the entire process — from material procurement to final inspection.
By combining craftsmanship with modern production techniques, we can produce high-quality fixtures that meet strict European standards. But just as importantly: thanks to our collaboration with social work partners, our Dutch production also contributes to social impact. People with a distance to the labor market are given a structural place within the assembly and quality process at Atomis. In this way, we create lighting products that are sustainable not only in their use of materials but also in their social value.
Our production teams work daily to realize reliable, efficient, and future-proof lighting solutions. Every fixture that leaves our workshop is the result of a conscious, high-quality, and responsible production process — and that makes the difference in a market where sustainability is becoming increasingly important.
