Project: Fieldlab The Green Village
Client & user: The Green Village
Location: TU Delft
Fixtures used: Metronome-C, Evolo-L
For The Green Village in Delft, we were proud to provide the lighting for this unique fieldlab. An inspiring place where innovation, sustainability, and practice come together.
The Green Village is a low-regulation open-air laboratory of TU Delft, entirely focused on the built environment. New technologies and concepts are tested and validated here at district, street, and building level. Researchers, companies, governments, and students work together here on solutions that contribute to a future-proof living environment.
The focus is on three central themes: sustainable construction and renovation, the future energy system, and the climate-adaptive city. What makes The Green Village special is that it is not a theoretical test environment. The homes on the site are actually inhabited, and the other buildings function as workplaces, meeting rooms, and gathering places.
For this project, the Metronome-C and Evolo-L fixtures were chosen. These fixtures perfectly match the experimental and sustainable character of The Green Village. They provide reliable, comfortable lighting and are also suitable for long-term monitoring and evaluation in a realistic use environment.
Thanks to direct feedback from residents and users, entrepreneurs and researchers gain valuable insights. This allows products to be further developed and prepared for implementation and scaling up in practice.
The lighting contributes to a safe, functional, and pleasant environment, without disrupting the experimental character of the fieldlab. In this way, light supports not only daily use but also innovation and knowledge development.
We thank all involved parties for the pleasant and professional collaboration on this special and progressive project.
