When it became clear that the town hall from the eighties needed to be replaced, the municipality of Voorst saw this as an opportunity. The ambition was clear: the new building had to be an example in the field of sustainability, circularity and future-proof working. The result is an innovative town hall in which architecture, technology and use come together.
Atomis has been able to provide the lighting for a wide range of spaces within this project. From the council chamber to the offices, from traffic zones and the entrance to the medical room and the atrium. Each space places different demands on light, both functionally and in terms of experience. By carefully looking at light level, comfort and appearance per zone, a coherent and pleasant lighting concept has been created.
An important point of attention within this project was the diversity of ceilings. In order to create a calm and uniform image, specially designed custom fixtures have been used. This has created one consistent lighting solution that effortlessly adapts to the different ceiling types, without sacrificing appearance or performance.
The new town hall shows that sustainability and aesthetics can go hand in hand. Light plays a silent but decisive role in this: supportive, comfortable and fitting for a building that is ready for the future.
We would like to thank Croonwolter&dros for the pleasant cooperation and the trust in this project.
