Huis Marseille, Museum of Photography in Amsterdam is a leading institution where contemporary photography and history converge. The museum is housed in two interconnected 17th-century canal houses, boasting distinct architectural quality and an intimate, layered atmosphere. A context in which light plays a crucial role.

For the exhibition Shadow Self – Portal to a Parallel World, we were pleased to supply our Zumo 60 luminaires, in collaboration with 50LUX – Lighting design & consultancy. These luminaires are equipped with an integrated zoom lens, allowing the beam width to be precisely adjusted.

Light as an amplifier of image and space

Thanks to this flexibility, the lighting can be precisely adjusted for each photographic work. Details, contrasts, and compositions are optimally showcased, without disturbing the delicate balance between artwork and historical space. The result is a calm yet powerful layer of light that enhances the exhibition’s content.
