The Stationspostgebouw in The Hague is a special project where history and the future come together. This national monument, for many years the domain of post and logistics, has been transformed into a modern and sustainable office building that meets the highest standards of today.
In collaboration with Interalu Nederland, Atomis was able to contribute to this project by supplying lighting solutions that seamlessly integrate into the Interalu SAPP ceiling. The fixtures are designed and applied in such a way that they perfectly disappear between the slats of the ceiling, keeping the ceiling image calm and powerful.
Various dimming techniques have been applied within this project. Consider daylight-dependent control and emergency lighting, which are cleverly integrated and carefully concealed between the slats. Technology that is present when needed, but remains virtually invisible visually.
The lighting has been applied in various spaces within the building, including the open office floors, meeting rooms, traffic zones and the cafeteria. Each space requires its own lighting approach, tailored to use, comfort and atmosphere, resulting in a coherent and pleasant lighting concept.
The renovated Stationspostgebouw is also the first national monument in the Netherlands to be certified with energy label A, the highest achievable level. In addition, the building was designed and realized according to the WELL and BREEAM standards, which focus on sustainability, health and well-being.
A project where architecture, technology and lighting reinforce each other and where we are proud to have contributed.
