Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Office

Behind the scenes at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, work is done just as professionally as exhibitions are presented to the public. For the museum’s office area, we were commissioned by Kuijpers and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam to contribute ideas and provide lighting advice for the renewal of the existing lighting fixtures.

An important principle within this project was reuse. Instead of readapting the ceiling, conscious consideration was given to how the existing situation could be cleverly utilized. Specifically for this project, we developed a custom solution that allowed the previously made cut-outs in the ceiling to be reused. This meant no additional structural provisions were needed, and a completely renewed lighting solution could still be realized.

The result is a sleek and seamless refit solution that suits the museum’s work environment: calm, functional, and sustainable. In close collaboration with Kuijpers, the fixtures were supplied and carefully integrated into the office.

The following fixtures were used in this project: Meson Refit Pro and Fusion, implemented as a special custom solution.
