We were allowed to provide the lighting in various examination and teaching rooms for the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The VU is known for its socially engaged education and research and offers a wide range of bachelor’s and master’s programs. Sustainability, diversity and innovation are clear priorities.
Within this project, the focus was on reliable, comfortable and energy-efficient lighting. Good light is essential in examination rooms. It must provide tranquility, be uniform and offer long-term comfort for both students and invigilators.
A combination of high-quality luminaires was chosen: Fusion-M, Meson Pro and Meson Round 100 FT. Together, these luminaires ensure even light distribution, minimal glare and a pleasant light experience, suitable for intensive use of the spaces.
The applied solutions seamlessly match the functional requirements of examination environments and the sustainability ambitions of the VU. Smart combination creates a future-proof lighting installation that offers both comfort and efficiency.
The result is a clear, calm and professional learning and testing environment that contributes to concentration and well-being. A solution that fits within a modern university setting and is ready for long-term use.
We thank SPIE Building Solutions, Royal Haskoning DHV and VU Amsterdam for the pleasant and professional cooperation on this beautiful project.
