Museum De Buitenplaats is a museum for figurative art from after 1945, located in Eelde, Drenthe. The museum consists of a modern pavilion, a museum garden with orangery and museum café, and the seventeenth-century Nijsinghhuis. A special location where art, architecture and landscape come together.

For the exhibition Power to the Flower we were commissioned to supply our Zumo 60 fixtures, in collaboration with 50LUX – Lighting Design & Consultancy. These spotlights are ideally suited for museum applications thanks to the integrated zoom lens. This allows the beam width to be easily adjusted and the light to be precisely tuned to each individual artwork.

Flexible lighting for exhibitions

The flexibility of the Zumo 60 makes it possible to create accents where needed while maintaining tranquility and coherence in the space. Ideal for an exhibition with diverse objects and scales, where focus and nuance are essential for the experience.

Result

The lighting supports the exhibition without dominating and enhances both the artworks and the spatial quality of the museum. A subtle yet powerful contribution to the overall visitor experience.
