New accessories take the Zumo Vario to the next level

Good accent lighting stands or falls with control over the beam. That is exactly why we are extending the Zumo Vario series with nine new accessories: Honeycomb louver black, Barndoor black and white, Wide flood lens, Softening lens, Oval lens, Snoot black and white, and the Colour Filter Lens. Each accessory clips easily onto the spot and can be combined, so the light image can be tuned precisely to every object, wall or space — without replacing the luminaire.

One spot, endless light images

Together, the Zumo 35 Vario, Zumo 60 Vario and Zumo 90 Vario form a track-spot family that handles everything from intimate gallery rooms to large retail floors. The new accessories extend that versatility further: the Honeycomb louver minimises glare for maximum visual comfort, the barndoors frame the light razor-sharp onto a painting or display case, and the Wide flood, Softening and Oval lenses shape the beam to the space — wide and even, soft at the edges, or stretched along a wall. The snoots keep the light source out of sight and capture stray light, while the Colour Filter Lens adds accent and atmosphere in seven colours to exhibitions, presentations and hospitality environments.

Developed with practice, for practice

These accessories were not conceived at a drawing board but shaped in practice. By working closely with lighting designers such as 50LUX and Beersnielson — and directly with museums — we have implemented innovations that truly matter: better anti-glare, more precise framing and faster changes while installing an exhibition. That feedback from gallery and depot is now built into every accessory, and we are proud of it.

The applicability of the Zumo Vario series is greater than ever. In museums and galleries the combination of honeycomb and barndoors delivers glare-free, precisely framed light on delicate works. In retail and hospitality the interchangeable lenses and colour filters make the difference between showing and seducing. And in offices and public spaces the same spot remains suitable for accent and general lighting — with CRI values up to 97 and TM-30 reports substantiating the colour rendering.
