Atomis offers a smart, circular alternative: refurbishment. With our Refit and RF range we renew the internals of existing luminaires, while the housing, the ceiling and the wiring stay in place. Less disruption, a shorter lead time and far less waste.

How our refurbishment works

In three steps from an outdated luminaire to as-new condition, without touching your ceiling or wiring.

Dismantle

We collect the existing luminaire or dismantle it on site. The housing, the ceiling and the wiring are retained.

Refurbish

In the Netherlands we replace the internals, light source, optics and driver, with modern, energy-efficient LED technology.

Shine again

The refurbished luminaire goes back into the space: the same look, but with the light quality and efficiency of new.

Renew instead of replace

The existing housing gets a second life, with the light quality and efficiency of a new luminaire, and a future-proof installation that meets current standards.

Sustainable and circular

By keeping existing materials we save raw materials, waste and CO₂. Renovation is often not only greener but also more cost-effective than full replacement, exactly what our sustainability goals are about.

Our luminaires are developed, built and refurbished in the Netherlands, partly at social workplaces. This keeps quality, lead time and involvement close by.

Taking refurbishment to a higher level

Refurbishment fits everything Atomis stands for: circular thinking, reuse and Dutch craftsmanship. We believe that refurbishing existing luminaires is, in many cases, the smartest and most sustainable choice, provided it is done properly. Only then do you truly benefit.

We do more than swap an old light source for LED. We renew the light source and the optics with a complete module, so your lighting performs like a brand-new installation again. Even an older installation is brought back up to standard this way: comfortable, energy-efficient and compliant with the applicable standards, EN 12464 for workplace lighting and EN 1838 for emergency lighting.

Naturally, our refurbished luminaires carry the same five-year warranty as a new product. And with smart controls and sensors (DALI-2, Casambi) you further reduce energy consumption and increase comfort for the user.
