The Stratos range: low-glare project lighting that blends into the architecture

One family, several ceilings

The Stratos range is built around one recognisable, sleek design language, but is available in different versions so there is a suitable variant for almost any ceiling. Alongside the standard recessed and lay-in version (Stratos-B), there are special versions for climate ceilings (Stratos-K and Stratos-Y), where lighting and climate ceiling come together in one calm whole. Each variant comes in two sizes — 70 and 100 — so the scale of the luminaire can be matched to the space.

Low-glare light with microprism optics

All Stratos luminaires use a microprism optic. It provides comfortable, low-glare light that is pleasant to work under — important in spaces where people spend much of their day. With a high colour rendering (up to CRI90) and colour temperatures from 2700K to 4000K, including Tunable White, the light colour can be matched to the atmosphere and function of the space.

Stratos at Fugro HQ Nootdorp

A fine example is Fugro’s new headquarters in Nootdorp. Commissioned by Den Doorn Totaalinstallateurs, and in collaboration with Deerns and cepezed, Atomis delivered a lighting solution here that connects seamlessly with the architecture and the daily work processes. In the offices and meeting rooms, the emphasis was on comfortable, low-glare light that supports concentration without making the space harsh or restless.

For this project the Stratos-K 100, among others, was applied, integrated into the climate ceiling. Lighting and climate thus come together in one clean ceiling — exactly what a modern, future-proof working environment calls for. Because Atomis was involved at an early stage, we could think along flexibly about optimisations in design and execution, with sustainability and reuse as the guiding principle.
